The country of Bolgheri is easily accessible by car and bicycle covering the famous tree-lined avenue of the cypresses, a small medieval village that between 1838 and 1848 accommodated the famous poet Giosuè Carducci. It is possible to visit Castagneto Carducci crossing the Bolgherese avenue, known as "Road of the Wine", cause of wines of optimal quality like the Sassiccaia and the Ornellaia.
